The Writer’s Garret

Welcome to The Writer’s Garret, a full-service, year-round, nonprofit literary center in North Texas. Our mission is “to foster the education and development of readers, writers, and audiences by putting them in touch with quality literature, each other, and the communities in which they live and write.” As a “communiversity” dedicated to the power of reading and writing, our programs explore the connections people make through language, art, imagination, and their own sense of what it means to be human.
